CYEN CREATIVE is the creative practice of Chieh Yen, a New York-based director and creative executive working at the intersection of craft, technology, and culture.
With over 20 years of experience shaping brands, stories, and immersive experiences, I help brands translate complex ideas into work that feels clear, relevant, and emotionally grounded. My approach is rooted in timeless craft,
driven by innovation, and human at the core, building systems that scale across platforms and stay with people beyond the moment.
My work spans brand identity, motion-led systems, live action, and immersive environments. I partner with product, engineering, and executive teams. I’ve led global initiatives for IBM, NASA, Amazon Prime Video, the NBA, Nike, Verizon, Marvel, MasterClass, Meta, and others, particularly where storytelling, systems, and scale converge.
CYEN CREATIVE operates with a hands-on, collaborative model. I’m involved from strategy through execution, guiding ideas with clarity and care while building adaptable creative frameworks that travel across mediums, markets, and moments.
Alongside client work, I maintain Friends in New York, finy.co. A personal creative journal and observational space. It’s where I step away from briefs to stay close to culture, moment, and the quieter signals that shape our world.
